Who we are

Tiles by Fox is a tile installation business owned by Lucas and based in Sandwich, Massachusetts, serving Cape Cod and the South Shore. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Tiles by Fox, and “the website” means tilesbyfox.com.

What we collect

The estimate form

Your name, email address, town and project type, plus your phone number and a message about your project if you choose to add them. If the form can’t send automatically, your email app opens a pre-filled message to [email protected]. Nothing is sent unless you send that email yourself.

The guided estimate

At tilesbyfox.com/app: your project type, town, approximate size, how many photos you selected, your name, email address and, optionally, your phone number. The guided estimate does not upload photos, and a visit time you pick there is not sent to us. Lucas confirms visits with you directly.

The chat assistant

The messages you type in the “Questions? Ask us” chat. See The chat assistant for how they are handled.

Calls, texts and emails

If you call, text or email us, including photos of your space, we receive that information on our phone and in our email inbox.

Sent automatically with a request

When you submit the form or the guided estimate, we also receive the page you sent it from, the site that referred you (if any), and any campaign tags in the link you used to reach us (such as utm_source, or the Facebook and Google ad click IDs fbclid and gclid). We also receive your IP address, your browser type and the time of the request.

How we use it

• To reply to your inquiry and answer your questions.
• To prepare estimates, plan the work and schedule site visits.
• To keep a record of requests and projects.
• To see which ads or links bring people to the website, using the campaign tags described above.
• To protect the website and our forms from spam and abuse.

The chat assistant

The chat is an AI assistant, not a person. It answers general questions about Tiles by Fox and can make mistakes. Please don’t share sensitive information in it.

• Your messages are sent to an AI service provider (currently Groq and Cloudflare Workers AI) only to generate a reply.
• We do not save chat conversations. Our logs record only technical figures, such as the number of messages and the response time. They do not include what you wrote or your IP address.
• Your IP address is used briefly to limit excessive use of the chat.
• The conversation is kept in your browser tab so it stays in place as you move between pages. It is cleared when you close the tab.
• If the assistant suggests sending your project details, it only copies a short summary into the estimate form. Nothing reaches us until you submit the form yourself.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and respond to you:

Cloudflare

Delivers and secures the website, measures visits (see Cookies & analytics) and runs the services behind the form and the chat.

Supabase

The database where requests from the form and the guided estimate are stored.

Resend

The email delivery service that sends us a notification of each new request.

AI service providers

Groq and Cloudflare Workers AI, which generate the chat assistant’s replies.

Our web developer

Builds and maintains the website and its request system, and can access stored requests to run and support it.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others. Links to Instagram and Google reviews take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies.

Meta Pixel

The home page includes code for the Meta Pixel, an advertising measurement tool from Meta (Facebook and Instagram). As of the effective date, it is not connected to a Meta ad account, so it does not send page views or requests to Meta. Your browser still downloads Meta’s script file, and as with any web request, Meta’s server receives your IP address and browser type.

If we turn it on to measure ads on Facebook or Instagram, it will tell Meta when you view the page and when you send a request, including the project type. Meta may then set a cookie and use that data under its own policies. We will update this policy before that happens.

Cookies & analytics

• Cookies. This website does not set cookies. Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie if it needs to check for automated traffic.
• Session storage. A few items are kept in your browser and cleared when you close the tab: campaign tags from the link you arrived with (so they can be attached to a request you send), the chat conversation and your guided estimate draft. They leave your device only as part of something you choose to send.
• Analytics. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits: pages viewed, the referring site, browser, country and page speed. It does not use cookies.

You can clear site data or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep your requests and messages for as long as we need them to respond and to follow up on your project, and afterwards as part of our business records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below). Chat conversations are not stored.

Your choices

• You can ask what information we have about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Call or text (774) 313-8512 or email [email protected]. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we may need to keep some records when the law requires it.
• You can browse the website, the project gallery and our contact details without sending us anything.
• You choose what to write in the form, the guided estimate and the chat. In the estimate form, only your name, email, town and project type are required.

Security

The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), access to stored requests is restricted, and our forms have spam protection. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website is for homeowners and building professionals. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website or our practices change. The current version will always be on this page, with its effective date at the top.
